BREAKING: 'Spider-Man' director Julie Taymor out
Los Angeles Times | March 9, 2011 4:57 p.m. PTJulie Taymor, the co-writer and director of the long-delayed $65-million Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," will be replaced as director March 15 as part of an ambitious effort to revamp and relaunch the troubled show. The musical has played to large audiences during an unprecedented lengthy preview period, even though it has received poor reviews from critics. Its official opening has again been delayed, this time to "an evening in early summer."
